Meet our Founder

Alesia Rencher-McGlocton, was born and raised on the deep eastside of Detroit by her parents Mr. Orell Rencher and Mrs. Eula Jean Robinson-Rencher and is the 4th of her 5 siblings. She is a lover of people and has over twenty-five years of comprehensive experience across diverse human services sectors, but her greatest love is working with women who have left, or are working to leave, abusive relationships. Being a domestic violence and sexual assault survivor herself, she loves to support and assist women who are and have lived through these traumas because she has experienced first-hand many of the dilemmas they face. Her love to support survivors and speak out against domestic violence and sexual assault is a daily ritual for Alesia, who is adamant and true to spreading the message that sexual assault is not the victim’s fault and domestic violence is never acceptable in any compacity be it physical, verbal, emotional, digital, or financial.

Trauma Support Group

Knowing you are not alone is the first step, and we are here to support you through this major transformation to healing, help, and hope. Our support staff is here to listen and ensure your voice is being heard and your needs are being met. We do not judge; we are only intending to help you in your time of need and bring support to show you that you are not alone in this transition.

Art and Music Therapy

Healing from trauma is a deep and personal journey, and sometimes talking through the details is too tough or not enough. Art and Music therapy help many survivors of abuse process their emotions in a relaxed and supportive environment. This creative expression through art, writing, music, or movement can open powerful new pathways to recovery.

Resources and Referrals

Our process ensures that each survivor’s experiences are understood and respected. We provide crisis intervention, emphasizing safety and exit planning that offers immediate relief and security. By coordinating closely with our partner agencies, we facilitate warm referrals to ongoing services, connecting survivors to a network of resources designed to meet their needs.

Safety Planning

We will complete a personalized safety plan with you so you will know how to recognize triggers and warning signs and will be able to use coping skills to stay safe before and during a crisis.
